I Live In
Astoria - a nice little neighborhood in Queens, home to lots of Muslims and Orthodox Greeks. It's quaint, but it's hard not to feel a little out of place. At least the rent is reasonable.
I'd Like To Be Living In
Manhattan - if only money were no object (not to mention space). I'd also be happy to live back in California, particularly once the high speed train is complete.
My Dream Job
Rock Star.
(It's a pity this isn't a plural category)
If Money Were No Object, I Would
Buy a loft apartment in Manhattan, build my own recording studio, open a restaurant, direct a classical choir, fly jets, learn computer programming, and build a cabin in the mountains. And write music. All the time.
Greatest Risk Taken To Date
Coming to New York, I suppose. Although I did outrun a corvette at 90 mph on the highway in my mom's Nissan minivan once.
Proudest Moment/Achievement
I got to play a gig at CBGB's before it closed. Probably one of the best shows I've ever played.
Most Interesting Travel Experience
I could hardly pick one... though my second trip to Spain would be a solid contender - I got locked in my bedroom in the villa we were staying at for four hours, and ended up having to rip the hinges off the door with a screwdriver to get out. Memorable, at least.
Next Place I'll Visit
California. For the holidays, predictably. After that, it's totally up in the air. incidentally there are an awful lot of places I'd like to see that aren't that far from New York - Boston, for example, or Vermont, or the Catskills.
